This beautiful antique gold filled locket is from the Art Nouveau period, made by Carter, Qvarnstrom & Remington. An American jewellery company active between 1896 - 1930s working from Attleboro Massachusetts. The front features a stunning raised repousse floral design with lotus flowers, buds, and leaves set below a witching heart-shaped cartouche that bears an ornate monogram inscribed on it. M.K. The back is plain and polished. Inside, the locket retains its original frames. It opens at the top near the jump ring.
